Tens of thousands of Malians have taken to the streets in recent months, in protests fueled by pervasive corruption, extreme poverty, and protracted conflict. The unrest risks further destabilizing a region already battling an alarming rise in violent extremism. President Keïta resigned and dissolved parliament following military take over and the crisis committee must find a way to reach peaceful agreement and restore stability within the regions involved.
