Our Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Club had an incredible expedition to Trident Island in Akwamufie, Ghana! Over the weekend, our students embarked on a journey filled with adventure and personal growth all without devices!
During the trip, we hiked through stunning landscapes to strengthen our endurance and teamwork. We learned essential water safety skills while kayaking, including kayak overturn rescue techniques. Our students conquered heights by abseiling down a high cliff, pushing their limits and embracing risk-taking. We built our own tents, cooked meals, and gathered around the campfire, fostering self-management and problem-solving skills. Additionally, we gained vital life-saving skills through first aid training, preparing us for any situation.
This expedition aimed for the Bronze Award, focusing on skill development, leadership, and team bonding. Huge thanks to BraveHeart Expeditions for guiding us through these unforgettable experiences!
