ARIS Cares | MYP Students in Action at Tema Demonstration School for the Deaf

At ARIS, we believe that small actions can create meaningful change. This week, our MYP students — Floret Xu, Feifan Sun, and Wanchen — transformed compassion into action through their service learning journey.

The students began by raising funds at the ARIS Cares Monthly Wednesday Market, where they sold handmade items created with care and creativity. Through teamwork and dedication, they used the funds to purchase food supplies and spent an afternoon preparing 200 gift packs filled with biscuits and drinks.

Their commitment continued early the next morning, departing before 7:00 a.m. on the last day of the school term to visit the Tema Demonstration School for the Deaf. The school is a fully boarding community serving 531 students, ranging from 4 years old through high school.

This initiative reflects the values that define ARIS: empathy, responsibility, and student-led service. We are incredibly proud of our MYP students for choosing to lead with kindness and demonstrating how care, when combined with action, can truly brighten someone’s day.
