ARIS x JUMP! Foundation A Week of Leadership

From 13–20 October 2025, ARIS came alive with energy, dialogue, and purpose as we partnered with the JUMP! Foundation for a transformative week dedicated to leadership development and community impact.

The week opened with an inspiring NGO Youth Workers Facilitation Workshop, bringing together changemakers from organisations such as Village of Hope, Learn to Read Foundation, and Rare Diseases Ghana. Alongside other NGOs from across Accra, participants collaborated to strengthen their capacity for transformational learning and meaningful youth engagement. Our ARIS Service Leaders also participated, building valuable partnerships within the wider community.

A key highlight of the week was the Heads of Schools Leadership Roundtable, facilitated by Justin Bedard, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the JUMP! Foundation. The session brought together school leaders from SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College, Association International School, The Roman Ridge School, American International School of Ghana, and Ghana International School to explore how schools can better prepare students for leadership, wellbeing, and purpose in a rapidly changing world.

Through JUMP!’s experiential facilitation approach, participants explored powerful themes including:

Student Leadership — creating cultures where every student has the opportunity to lead.
Personal Development — strengthening resilience, wellbeing, and self-awareness.
Community Building — cultivating trust, belonging, and collaboration within school communities.
Midweek, ARIS parents joined a Parent Information Session, where they explored practical strategies to support their children’s growth in confidence, resilience, and character.

For our students, the highlight was an intensive Student Facilitator Workshop and High School Leadership Retreat, where twelve learners from Years 9–12 developed facilitation and leadership skills. Students practiced guiding discussions, asking powerful questions, managing group dynamics, designing engaging activities, and providing constructive feedback. These skills now empower them to lead impactful sessions within the SRC and across the wider school community.

The week concluded with the ARIS Leads Committee Workshop, reinforcing our commitment to student voice, collaboration, and purposeful leadership.

This partnership between ARIS and the JUMP! Foundation reflects a shared belief that education is a powerful force for transformation. Through experiences like this, ARIS continues to nurture courageous, compassionate leaders who are ready to make a meaningful difference in the world.
