Preamble
Our Primary School offers an engaging, quality curriculum from the Playgroup phase (ages 2-3), followed by the Primary Years Programme (PYP) from Nursery through to Year 6 (ages 3-12). ARIS was authorized on 28 April, 2016 to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). The IB PYP educational philosophy provides a framework that enables us to educate our children to face the challenges of the 21st century by guiding and supporting them to become independent, life-long learners; learners who are responsible, productive, insightful and compassionate; learners motivated to become peaceful and internationally-minded citizens of the world.
Our Primary programme focuses on developing independent, skilled learners through Inquiry–based teaching and learning. It is a student-centered approach that allows broad scope combined with rigour, and that strongly encourages a global perspective. With a curriculum focused on a holistic approach, students are guided towards developing the attributes of the IB Learner Profile throughout their Primary Years.
ARIS believes in the holistic development of children, tapping their potential curiosity and innate talents to bring out well balanced confident individuals, and lifelong independent learners. We strive to develop global citizens who respect cultures, who are open mindedly nurture the diversity found around them, and who endeavour to lead by example.
