IGCSE Enterprise Student Fun Fair

Feb 21, 2015

This Cambridge IGCSE project was managed from start to finish by a group of ARIS Year 11 Enterprise students. The students hired vendors, rented tables, bouncing castles, and arranged a variety of games for the fair.

The Cambridge IGCSE Enterprise Course is a unique new syllabus that brings the world of business into the classroom and gives learners a clear insight into what it means to think like an entrepreneur. This is the first Cambridge IGCSE syllabus which asks learners to adopt the thoughts and actions of entrepreneurs, developing their knowledge and understanding of the practicalities of setting up and running their own new enterprise. Cambridge IGCSE Enterprise equips learners with a range of vital life skills for use in planning and organisation, communication and financial management. Taken from www.cie.org.

The young entrepreneurs from our first IGCSE Enterprise course put on an amazing fair. The Students secured 10 vendors, including a chocolate fountain, with fruit kabobs, African soft dolls, clothes, crafts, Henna, Zest Catering, Cake Pops, and more! The fair was a success with a jumping castle, D.J. and an activities director hosting group games. The event included tickets for various booth carnival style games that the kids made themselves. The “volunteer” students from Secondary 1 & 2, turned out in numbers to run games and paint faces.
