Drop Everything And Read Day

Aug 31, 2015

D.E.A.R. Parents,

Today was the first official “Drop Everything and Read” – where dropping everything, including classwork, paperwork, staplers, pens, pencils… and reading books supersedes everything!

Come to the ARIS campus on D.E.A.R. Day, and whether you are on official business, just visiting, or dropping off your wards, you will have to Drop Everything and Read with us!

We would like to encourage people of all ages, to “drop” what you’re doing, and pick up a book, instead. For all you Beverly Cleary fans, you will recognize D.E.A.R. in the book Ramona Quimby, Age 8. Since then, “Drop Everything and Read” programmes have been popping up worldwide. Most of these events are held on 12 April, in honor of Mrs. Cleary’s birthday.
