A Trip Through Time

Last week, Year 9 pupils put on a drama depicting historic eras.

The ancient civilizations of the Roman Empire, Ottoman Empire, and Umayyad Dynasty were explored in a cross-collaboration between the History Department, and Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Arabic.

The lesson challenged students to go back in time, and research the biographies of emperors, create timelines, interactive maps, and sections on the society and the military. The students made a final comparison between the different eras and formulated a timeline of the past to the present.
