Teaching And Learning Through Inquiry, Takes PYP Team TO SOS

ARIS Teachers arrived at SOS Hermann Gmeiner International School, in Tema full of excitement, eager to participate in the Cambridge Primary Workshop on Math and English. The workshop was focused on teaching and learning English and Mathematics through Inquiry. The teachers were paired up to work on strategies involving question solving. 

One group attended the English  workshop, this picture shows an activity called the paper chain activity. Participants received two separate sheets of coloured paper, they wrote their name on one sheet and on the other their answer to the task. Participants with similar answers joined their names. This goes on until a very long chain is formed and joined together at a point.
