Tech Club; The Calm Before The Storm

Nov 12, 2015

ARIS Tech Club members set out to build the Weather-Eye digital weather station. The club goal is to use the Raspberry Pi to communicate with the station for current weather. The station was assembled and the local weather measures were gathered.

The outdoor instrument assembly measures Temperature, Humidity, Atmospheric Pressure, Rainfall and Wind Speed and Direction and transmits the data wirelessly to the stylish display console indoors. The supplied software allows you to download and track weather information in real time providing a better understanding of the changing environment. A full series of weather data, with time-stamp, is recorded automatically and data analysis and graph plotting can be carried out on the PC. The data can also be exported for use with other software applications. – Taken from www.weather-eye.co.uk
