“If it weren’t for teachers…the world wouldn’t have any class” read one of the handmade cards that the student council meticulously made for their teachers.

It was just after the Investiture ceremony, that the student council was given the responsibility of organizing and hosting the Teacher’s Day programme. The onus lay on their abilities and they shouldered it with a sense of pride and leadership. With very little help and guidance from the PYP coordinator, they organized the entire event which touched the heart of every teacher in ARIS.

The programme began with a PPT on teachers by Aaraisha Sood. It spoke about teachers work and how the students of ARIS acknowledge and appreciate their efforts. A poem wonderfully written by Alankrita Chavan had the teachers moved. A drama which showed the importance of education and teachers was done by the boys.

Another surprise was a song composed along with the melody, by a group of students. They gave all the teachers handmade cards which had words of appreciation. There was din in the air as the students watched their teachers dance on stage, which ended the event full of energy and vigour.
