Year 4: contributing to simple Wikipedia. In integration with PYP: Where we are in place and time.

In integration with their PYP unit “Where We Are in Place and Time”, Year 4 pupils decided to document two significant events into Simple Wikipedia: Universal Children’s Day and Ghana National Farmers’ Day. The pupils started by setting up a mind map of questions about the celebrations, and used the web to find out more about them.

After having noted down their findings, children organized their articles and acknowledged references into Simple Wikipedia. Children got to develop their research and note taking skills, as well as being responsible users of the services the internet offers to promote collaboration.
