Jeff, the Swedish Elk, who spent time with our students in their classrooms, also accompanied them.

It is important to note that the IB Regional Council serves as a strategic advisory board for the Regional Director and provides information and assistance related to IB issues in various parts of the region. The three members of the Council met with Dr Fatma and the Primary School Senior Management Team. They also spent time interacting with our students and teachers in their classrooms. They were so impressed with the ARIS culture and community that the next day they sent a filming crew along with the IB Regional Marketing Manager Mr Robert Cummings to interview Dr Fatma and Mr Kofi (EYP Coorindator).

They also spent time in the classrooms filming primary students involved in different learning engagements. We are therefore very proud to inform our community that ARIS will be featured in the next IB documentary that will be viewed all around the world.

Dr Fatma was also invited to the closed Regional Council meeting, on Friday 4 November 2016, to take part in the discussions relating to the IB development and growth in Africa. She participated in different group discussions and shared with all the Council Members the successful ARIS IB implementation model. We are very proud of everything we have achieved so far with the IB and we are looking forward to what the coming years have in store for us.
