Guest Speaker: Regina Honu Vilisco's Ambassador

Regina Honu, Vlisco's ambassador exemplifies the ideals of the brand. This year, Regina Honu, the Founder and CEO of Soronko Solutions, was chosen as Vlisco’s 2016 Ambassador. The courage that she embodies has allowed her to fearlessly achieve her dreams despite the obstacles of operating in a male-dominated field and the burden of fighting against social stigmas. Pioneering her social enterprise, Regina is a champion for women and girls in the technology sector and has been recognised for her achievements across the world which includes: Being named as one of the 12 inspirational women who rock STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) by CNN
· Awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the GPA Awards from Africa 2.0
· Serving as a Mandela Washington Fellow and a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum
· Being featured on BBC World Service, Al Jazeera and Lean In for Graduates by Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook

In her role as a Vlisco Ambassador, Regina sheared her inspirational story to ARIS students. The students had a question and answer session with Mrs. Honu. She was a true community role-model the students will not forget.
