Learner Profiles: Secondary Teachers Workshop

The secondary teachers training was based on teaching through the Learner Profiles. More info to follow.

The PD session started with a brief ice breaking sessions with Mr. Fred on directing a “blind–folded person using tapping with no verbal cues.

The first session, the PD inaction session, was led by Harwell Asorwoe and Kobena Brew. Two video clips were shown from which the participants were required to pick out the Learner Profile issues they have identified and how it informs their teaching and learning and classroom management.

The second session, on engaging classroom, was led by Ms. Boudour and Mr. Fred; followed by “ Use of ICT Tools in engaging classroom” And Use of Online assessment Tools by Mm Alpana.

The third slot was taken by Dr. Funke Baafuor–Awuah who put up an excellent presentation on tracking students behaviour. Dr. Funke further introduce an e copy of the student tracking for monitoring students, whereas, the issue of the “celebration of valentine” was the focus of deliberation on the engaging classroom strategy.

Furthermore, the concept of hot–seat was also introduced to the participants with some demonstration and participants had lots of Fun.

The workshop truly reflects the Team Work where participants clearly shows their willingness to be the Life Long learner.
