Lizzy Sports Private Schools Football Gala 2017

Ayman Helwani was voted as the best defender of the tournament for the Senior teams.
 

"On Saturday 29th April, ARIS Eagles participated in the fifth edition of the "Private Schools Football Gala" at Lizzy Sport Complex.

For the Senior category, 16 schools were represented and 8 schools for the Junior category. Our junior team played 3 matches. Two draws and one victory with 3-2 against "East Airport School". Despite their motivation and efforts, the ARIS eagles junior team wasn't qualified for the quarter finals.

Our senior team played their first match with "Jack and Jill School" and won 3-0. They won their second match against "Vilack" 3-0. It was a draw with "Tema International School 2-2. And finally they won their fourth match against "Grace Academy" 2-0.

Therefore they were qualified for the quarter finals. They played the first match with "Christian High School" and won 2-1. The second match was against "Tema International School" and they won 3-1. For their third match, they played with "Liberty American School" and won 5-0! Those amazing matches allowed them to move to the semi final.

In the semi final, they played with "Tema International School" and won 3-1.
Then they move to the final and finally played their last match against "Grace Preparative School". They unfortunately lost 4-0.

East Airport International School won the fifth edition of the Private Schools Football Gala. ARIS have the 2nd Position. The "British international" was 3rd.

Congratulations to those two amazing football teams and their coaches who did a fantastic job. The energy, fair-play and motivation of the students was impressive and we are very proud of them.
