Visit by French Language Consultant, Martine Durade

The French Department of ARIS-Primary School has really benefited from the two days visit of the French Language Consultant, Martine Durade, a DELF/DALF Instructor and an IBDP program & IGSCE French Teacher (French as a first and second language).

On the first day, she went around the various French classes to observe the Primary French Teachers during their teaching of the French language. She made considerable recommendations to improve French Teaching Strategies and Methodologies, for more effective, dynamic and student-centered French lessons.

The second day of her visit was focused on the various teaching resources that French teachers could use to effectively to make their lessons more interesting and interactive.

The team met at the ICT Lab of the school for a practical session on the various e-resources for teaching French as a second language. The French Language Consultant also made mention of some online platforms like that French teachers could use to have a more dynamic, interactive and creative French Class.

Altogether, the French department were enlightened and equipped with effective Methodologies, Strategies and Ideas to embark on their daily teaching of the French Language.
