Mastering Measurement

This year, as part of the summative task for Year 2A, pupils were put into groups to work together and build a structure to scale using specific given lengths and measurements.

In the spirit of being little “Bob the Builder”s, they got out their rulers to measure the lengths before starting to build a structure together. As a class, they were targeting the profile - “Thinkers”. Although this exercise also sets a perfect example for Creativity and Teamwork.

Taught and worked upon from an early age, lessons and values like teamwork, thinking outside the box and creativity set foundation for other experiences to come now and later in their lives. Pupils were committed to their work as they cooperated and worked along well with each group member in achieving the end results. We say to this, more power to teamwork and cooperation!
