Reception Communicators

Feb 21, 2018

We live in a fast paced world, where technology has stretched out beyond comparison. More so than full grown adults, children of the next generation are becoming increasingly tech savvy as they take a bigger bite of the world than we could at their age. But where does the induction to ICT start?

In our school, our little ones at Reception already know how to open basic word documents and play around with fonts and sizes and other features to type on the keyboard. Communication techniques has changed so much to now mostly rely on people’s ability to type what they would like to say on the keyboard (whether it be on the laptop or phone or any other electronic device). Reception learners are quick thinkers and communicators through their ICT lessons as well, when they type out sentences to send a message or even simply write their names. Their intelligent ways of choosing the best Fonts, or sizes or even colors they want to write in, displays their creative, communicative and thinking skills.

More so, who doesn’t like sitting in front of the laptop or an electronic device today. The answer, I can tell you, definitely does not include millennials. We wish them and envision the best learning experiences for our little learners to develop their thinking skills and personalities to become responsible global citizens of tomorrow.
