Creativity Blooms

Creativity blooms in every corner of ARIS. This morning, our little learners at Reception were engaged in making pretty and colorful flowers out of paper or playdough, during their Arabic class. Who would have thought that a language class would also bring creativity, outside the classroom? Naturally, all students were engaged and excited to make the prettiest looking flowers.

The interactive session of making origami flowers was intended for the lesson of learning the parts of the plant. In the unit of learning about living and non-living things, learning parts of the flower, which is a living thing, by plucking it, is not an option for the little ones. They learnt about how the flower comes from a bud, which is a ‘plant’s baby’ which can be used even as a source of food and medicine.

Moreover, today being Mothers’ Day, each pupil was equipped with colors and glitter and more props to make their flowers beautiful enough to gift to their mothers. Take one look at them, and you will be in awe!
