ARIS Cares Service Project 15th Anniversary

Nov 30, 2018

ARIS partnering up with ZoomLion Waste Management Company for the City Cleanup has been one of our biggest ARIS Cares Service Projects yet, this year, and most definitely the biggest MYP Service Learning Projects at ARIS.

The Cleanup will be from the Galaxy International School to the American House Bus Terminal. The objective of this is to promote youth advocacy towards their local communities, and learn about how to protect our environment in our own roles by properly disposing of the rubbish we all create. More so, they will practice their civic responsibility and learn about why it is important to keep Ghana clean?

As much as reflection after a completion of task/activity/service is vital, a reflection prior to it is just as important! Our MYP and CAS Coordinator, Ms. Barbara Bilgre, has set up a reflection form for our students to identify what they expect or hope to achieve through their participation in the ZoomLion City Cleanup!

It is to -

Identify our own strengths and develop areas of growth?
Developing new skills through the processes of undertaking challenges?
Plan a CAS Experience?
Show commitment and perseverance to CAS Experiences?
Work collaboratively?
Recognize the ethics of choices and action?

Well, stay tuned for further reflection and live footage from the ZoomLion City Cleanup!
