PYP Nursery Class Shapes and Arabic Integration

Nov 1, 2018

At ARIS, with the PYP Programme, all subjects tie in together to hone and really put emphasis on the understanding of a certain unit or topic that students learn. Whether these are in-class or outdoor activities.

Today, the Early Years students in the Nursery Class, during the Arabic lesson, were involved in an outdoor activity, involving Shapes! Shapes are one of the most important concepts to gain a solid understanding off in the Early Childhood Years, as it aids children in being able to make connections around them with shapes that they see in real life! It's also a great literacy and numeracy activity.

During the Arabic Class, students were playing an activity where they would put circles in a big Hoola-Hoop and put little Squares in a Cube Box! This was an activity conducted to help them differentiate between Circles and Squares!
