It’s Fun with Shapes all week, this week with the Early Years at ARIS, and each Early Years Class is getting up to various different activities!

Shapes are essential to learning in the Early Years as it contributes to Literacy Skills, Numeracy Skills and Cognitive Skills as well!

The Reception students, on Day 4 of Shapes Week, were involved in an Arts activity involving shapes. Groups of Reception children collaboratively, sought out shapes and pasted them in a bigger shape on a chart as a collage, letting out their creativity.

They were able to collaboratively work together and develop essential social skills and also were given an avenue to express themselves through their learning process! Moreover, making collages is a complex artwork process and also aims at developing children’s motor skills like tripod grip among others!

Stay tuned for more!
