IGCSE Global Perspectives Project Fundraiser
ARIS is a Community that comes together to Inspire, Empower and Transform within and outside our community. ARISCares is a wing that commits itself to social projects, community service and other projects alike.
This year, our Year 11 class is at their final year of the IGCSE. As part of their “Global Perspective” Project, two of our students – Ivy Terante and Souad Mouazzen are working on Raising Funds to Donate Essential School Supplies to an Underprivileged school, near ARIS.
The school students that the Donations will be going to cannot afford School Bags. As per our students’ observation, most of the students opt for Plastic Bags to carry their books, which is neither efficient nor environmentally friendly.
Our Students’ Aim is to improve the limited access to school supplies for a better Standard of Education and their proposed Outcome is to provide 40 Quality School Bags and with Complete Stationery Sets.
In the effort to raise these funds, we as a community have decided to let each class, from Year 7 to Year 13, pick from a bowl a Color and the Cause/Awareness that it stands for.
Based on their class picks, on Friday 14 September, they can pay a minimum of 5 GHC at the Gate, and come wearing the Respective color that corresponds to the Cause/Awareness.
The Awareness/Cause and their Colors are as follows –
Clean Water and Sanitation – Light Blue
Liver Cancer – Yellow
Autism – Rainbow
Epilepsy – Purple
Sickle Cell – Burgundy
Narcolepsy – Black
Asthma – Grey
World Peace – Dark Blue
Breast Cancer – Pink
Climate Change – Green
Quality Education – Red
Leukemia – Orange
Colon Cancer – Brown
Suicide Prevention – Blue and Purple
This is a completely student-led fundraiser that will not only raise awareness within our own ARIS Community, but also be an effort to improve the Quality of Student Life and Education for the Students at the School.
All of the money raised will go to purchasing these School Bag and Stationery. We hope that we can come together as a community and support this.
