Postcards from China

Sep 4, 2018

Two of our ARIS Eagles, Abrahim and Anik, this weekend, left for a trip of a lifetime! ARIS was invited by the Confucius Institute to send two students to a trip to China, to learn more about Mandarin and Chinese Culture!

The trip has been a long time coming with all the planning over the last couple of months by the Confucius Institute Ghana and Basic School in University of Ghana, Legon.

All the students have their itinerary full, with trips to Beijing, Hangzhou and Shanghai before they return to Ghana. Upon their arrival in Beijing, they have had the chance to visit The Great Wall of China, one of the 7 Wonders of the World, Forbidden City and also the Confucius Institute Headquarters, where they took part in activities synonymous to Chinese culture and learnt a little bit of Mandarin!

We are getting a few glimpses – we know that this cultural trip to China is one of the most valuable experiences and our students love it! Here’s hoping that the coming years bring more such opportunities!

Take a look at some of the postcards from Beijing! Stay tuned for more parts of their trip!
