Show and Tell and why we Love it so Much!

Sep 5, 2018

This morning was ‘Show and Tell’ with the ARIS Reception class, and it was too cute to be true! This week will be Show and Tell for our Foundation/ Early Years Classes where children will bring their favorite toy to school to share with the rest of their peers!

The morning was bright with our little Reception students coming to school with their favorite toys! Some brought a Teddy Bear, some brought Barbie dolls, some brought Stuffed Toys and then there were some that also brought Rubber Ducks and Cars and Trucks to play with!

Our favorite toys from when we were little has a distinct form of attachment and nostalgia! They bring more meaning than just something to play with, they become friends and companions during play time. Haven’t you watched Toy Story?

Either way, the Reception students sat in a circle and sang nursery rhymes as they would take their turn to speak about the toy that they brought with them to Show and Tell and why they love it so much! Some said, it’s their bedtime toy, some said because the truck is a big truck, some said because “my doll is my friend” and so many more cute reasons!

Our Early Years is full of fun-filled activities as such which really help children work better at their communication skills, among a multitude of skills to develop! Stay tuned!
