ARIS Receives Authorisation for the IB Middle Years Programme IBMYP
Congratulations to Al-Rayan International School (ARIS)!
ARIS is proud to announce that they have been authorized for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP). Now, ARIS is a full IB Continuum School authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) and the Diploma Programme (IBDP).
In April 2015, ARIS was authorized to offer the IBDP, and the following year in April 2016, ARIS received their IBPYP Authorization, making it an IB World School offering at least two IB Programmes. Prior to receiving the IBMYP Authorization, ARIS had been offering the MYP as a Candidate School since August 2017.
But the IB Journey does not end there. ARIS is now a candidate school for the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP). The IBCP is the fourth and last programme that the IB that runs simultaneously with the IBDP. As opposed to the IBDP, the IBCP is more vocational and practical in nature, offering the platform for specialized focus based on students’ professional goals. Once ARIS receives the IBCP Authorization, it will be the first school in Africa and one of the few in the world to offer all 4 International Baccalaureate Programmes.
