MYP Scaling Up and Scaling Down

Our MYP Year 7 students during their Individuals and Society class today are learning how to read a map!

Using the map of the school, they inquired into map scales and how actual sizes are translated onto the paper. They also compared the map on paper to the actual building (Secondary Block A).

The class had some questions about scaling up and down and even went further to ask if the same technique was applied to making giants and small people in movies!
