For their Unit of Inquiry, Landforms and Settlements, PYP Year 3 students went the extra mile further into their inquiry and created models of the different types of settlements!
They created model settlements out of materials such as paper, cardboard, clay, sticks and fabric and took into consideration the social amenities that could or could not be available to that type of settlement such as good roads, rail tracks, and streetlights!
Inquiries such as this allow students to have a very practical understanding of the concepts being taught in the classroom! They also inspire students to inquire further into concepts, and make connections to the real world!
