Al-Rayan International School is delighted to announce that they have received authorization to offer the 4th and final stream of the International Baccalaureate programmes; the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP)
This makes ARIS the first school in Sub-Saharan Africa to run all four programmes of the International Baccalaureate.
In celebration of this milestone, ARIS is offering two IBCP Scholarships; The Malek Saleh Moussa & Anam Sultan Muiz Scholarships, to two outstanding students who are currently not enrolled in ARIS. The Scholarships are aimed at giving unique and talented students who know what they want to do in future the experience of a career-focused education, developing lifelong 21st century career and life skills. For more information on the scholarships, contact communication@aris.edu.gh.
The pathways offered in the ARIS IBCP include; Business with BTEC, Engineering with BTEC, Hospitality Management with BTEC, and Art and Design with SCAD
Throughout the verification process, the ARIS Team worked closely together to ensure that all the necessary structures were put in place. Even though the verification process and authorization visits occurred in this season of COVID-19, the teams, both from ARIS, and the International Baccalaureate ensured that the visit was successful, pioneering the first Virtual Verification Visit!
Partners for the IBCP with ARIS include Pearson BTEC, Savannah College of Art and Design, West Africa Vehicle Academy, and the Swiss Education Group.
The authorization follows an IBCP National Dialogue, held by the school, on 29th January 2020, dubbed, “Career-focused Education: The Personalised Approach”, which saw speakers including the IB Development and Recognition Manager for UK, Peter Fidzcuk, the IB Development and Recognition Manager for Africa, Adzo Ashie, Director of Al-Rayan International School, Dr. Fatma Odaymat, CEO of Axis Capital and Ashesi University Lecturer, Dr. Esi Ansah, Representatives from Partner Institutions namely SCAD, WAVA, Pearson BTEC and Swiss Education Group, and Special Guest of Honour, Deputy Minister of Education for TVET, Honourable Gifty Twum Ampofo.
