Day One:
The Year 11 MYP-5 Eagles prepare for the first day of their service as action workshop. The opening day highlighted global challenges such as COVID-19, climate change, the Ukraine war, etc. The students learned about international development, sustainability, long-term efforts to improve global challenges, and sustainable development goals.
At the end of day one, the inspired students collaborated and presented solutions to various global issues.
Day Two:
Ecological problems and bio-technological problems are the two types of conservation issues. Ecological problems affect the entire ecosystem at every stage of its life cycle, whereas bio-technical problems are related to specific aspects of human interaction with the environment, such as overgrazing or pollution. On Day 2 of the SA workshop, our eagles were tasked with finding solutions to problems. After analyzing various conservation issues, our students devised simple solutions to assist in their resolution. This study demonstrates that a lack of education and awareness is a significant factor in creating negative perceptions of conservation efforts among people who should rely on them.
