PYP Book Week is Here!

The ARIS PYP Library hosted Book Week, a literacy event from the 12th to the 16th of September 2022. Book Week  celebrates all authors, illustrators, books, and readers. We had many exciting activities during the week, and our main focus was to READ.

On the first day of Book Week, the eagles had book-to-movie day, exploring books that are also movies. Story Time was a hit with our parent volunteer readers on Tuesday, followed by a parent coffee time in the library.

Come as your favourite book character brought out the creativity in everyone! Students came to school dressed up as their favourite book characters and showed off they had a parade.

Thursday, we had terrific Ghanaian authors read to PYP Years 1-6; students had the opportunity to attend an actual book signing too! Drop everything and read means that everyone spent time reading their favourites.

The PYP students held a book drive to collect books for the underserved communities in Accra.

A good time was had by all!
