Reflecting on the Unforgettable AISA GISS United World College Tanzania Trip 2023

We are thrilled to look back on the incredible journey that took place during the AISA GISS United World College Tanzania Trip 2023. It was an adventure filled with discovery, cultural immersion, and unforgettable experiences.

The Future is Now! We started the AISA GISS 2023 journey in Tanzania with a lovely 4-day stay at United World College. Our team, together with AISA member schools across Africa, were ready to learn about local and global issues – as well as sustainable solutions and equitable, inclusive action – alongside delegates and changemakers from AISA member schools.

Who's Hector? Day 2 of AISA GISS 2023 we dove into our service projects, had an activity to connect with nature and did lots of dancing. We enjoyed camping under the stars! Watch the video for more!

Day 3 Part 1 An expert panel of speakers, including our ARIS Director, Dr Fatma Odaymat, spoke about "The Role of Youth in Shaping The Future". What an inspiring discussion. Watch the video for more!

Day 3 Part 2 What a day of learning and fun at the UWC! We hope they enjoyed it as much as we did. The day we started with student presentations and a fantastic Fair. It was a truly memorable experience that we are incredibly grateful to have had.

The camping experience was magical! Our tents were laid out amidst the lush greenery, and a deep sense of tranquillity washes over you, connecting you intimately with the natural world. Above, the night sky unveils a breathtaking tapestry of stars, casting a mesmerizing glow that invites you to gaze upward and ponder the infinite wonders of the universe.

In a heartfelt gesture, the AISA GISS UWC Tanzania team presented the ARIS group with a small garden spade, symbolizing the passing of the torch and wishing us the best of luck in hosting the AISA GISS 2024 event in Accra, Ghana.

This symbolic gesture represented the spirit of camaraderie, collaboration, and shared responsibility within the AISA GISS community. As the torch is passed, UWC extended its support and well wishes to ARIS, knowing that we will create an incredible experience for all participants in the upcoming AISA GISS 2024 event.
